A little more fuel for your fire today.
In the Thirteenth century, Pope Urban IV was showing Thomas Aquinas around the Vatican in Rome. The pope showed the Thomas the vaults where there was a display of all the massive wealth of the church of that day. And looking at him the Pope said, “Thomas, no longer does the church have to say, ‘Silver and gold have I none‘”….to which Thomas Aquinas replied, “that’s right …but also …no longer can the church say ….‘in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’”

Proverb of the Day: Proverbs 23:18 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.
Scripture of the Day: Acts 3:6-8 6 Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. 8 He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
Quote of the Day: True contentment is a real, even an active, virtue---not only affirmative but creative. It is the power of getting out of any situation all there is in it. G.K. Chesterton
